Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor

Initiative

The Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor is more than a major north/south transportation route that connects the United States border in the south to the major oil sands projects in Northern and North Eastern Alberta.

The Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor provides companies and investors the opportunity to connect to industries all along its route whether it is in agriculture, manufacturing, defence, tourism or transportation and distribution.

Investing along the Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor will reduce the cost in transporting products and services required now and in the future.

The three Regional Economic Development Alliances (REDA’s) in Eastern Alberta; Palliser Economic Partnership (PEP), Battle River Alliance for Economic Development (BRAED), and the Northeast Alberta Information HUB (HUB) are working with key stakeholders to develop and promote this north south transportation corridor, including highways 36, 41 and 63.
