Walter Valentini, Executive Director

Mr. Valentini has been working in economic development for 32 years, most of it with the Regional Development Branch of Alberta Economic Development and most recently Alberta Finance and Enterprise. He has worked with small and large communities in his years with Calgary Regional Partnership and previously in the Peace River region. His experience includes working with small business, industry, communities and non-profit organizations.  He has worked with boards either as a manager or director.  He was a long serving member of the AlbertaFirst.com Board, Calgary Business Information Centre, now the Business Link, and is active in the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. Walter has served as an instructor for the University of Waterloo, Economic Development Association of Canada Certificate program in Economic Development and has been a guest speaker at numerous educational institutions. He is a past recipient of Alberta Economic Developer of the Year.
