What is the CareerWatch Contest?

  • The CareerWatch Contest is a unique contest that students can participate in to learn more about young, successful southeastern Albertans, their occupations and their career paths.
  • The CareerWatch are a series of video clips profiling five different young southeastern Albertans discussing different aspects of their occupation and career path, including comments from various related program instructors, employers, mentors etc.

How do students enter the contest? ipod touch image

  • To enter the CareerWatch contest, students are required to tune in to CHAT TV every evening Monday to Friday during Canada Career Week (November 5th to 9th) from 5:30pm to 6:30pm to watch one of a series of 5 clips.
  • The CareerWatch clips can also be found here. The clips are zipped. You will need to download them and watch them via your computer.
  • By Friday, November 9th, each of the 5 clips will have been aired. The clips will be added to this website one day at a time.
  • To be eligible for the Apple iPod Touch prize draw, complete the form found here and submit!

What are the contest rules?

  • To be eligible, youth must be students in grades 7 to 12 in southeast Alberta.
  • Students may submit only one ballot each.
  • The contest closes on November 16th and the draw will take place on November 19th. No ballots will be accepted after the contest closing date. The winner will be contacted by phone.
