LABOUR MARKET INFORMATION
The majority of the population in the Palliser Region with post-secondary qualifications has specialized in commerce, management and business administration, reflecting the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. In addition, the area has a higher annualized percentage rate of growth of newly registered apprentices than the Province as a whole, reflecting the diversity of the labour force in the region.

The Palliser Region has a higher labour force participation rate (75.7%) and employment rate (73.2%) and a lower unemployment rate (3.3%) than the Province as a whole. The region also has a higher participation rate amongst people ages 15 to 25 than in Alberta as well.
