Newspapers

Medicine Hat News is a daily newspaper in Medicine Hat and its affiliate is the quarterly publication, The Western Canadian Pipeline.

Local, weekly newspapers include the award-winning Brooks Bulletin, Brooks and County Chronicle , Bassano Times, Hanna Herald, Bow Island Commentator, Oyen Echo and the Prairie Post.

Delivery of the Calgary Herald is also available in many areas; with the Globe and Mail, National Post, Edmonton Journal and other large dailies available where periodicals are sold.

The Medicine Hat Herald and Medicine Hat Shopper are additional independent publications found within the region.

Radio

CBC Radio, Calgary , Edmonton and Lethbridge radio stations serve much of the region.

Medicine Hat local radio stations include 94.5 CHAT FM which is a country music format and 96.1 CFMY FM which is an adult contemporary format and Alive 99.5 offering Christian content. Additional FM stations from outside the region are available via cable hook-up.

Brooks has one local country format radio station, Q13.
