Climate
Sunshine coupled with warm dry summers means more time to spend outdoors and exploring our region. The low altitude of the region produces a very warm climate, with particular areas often matching or surpassing the “hot spot” of Canada. Winters have become very mild over the last few years with average temperatures on the rise.
Brooks’ climate is considered semi-arid, with the City receiving more than 2,300 hours of sunlight annually. The average annual precipitation is 37 cm while the number of frost free days is 130. The average temperature in July is 18.5 degrees Celsius and the average temperature in January is -13.9 degrees Celsius.
