Duchess is a village in southern Alberta, Canada, located north of Brooks, across from Trans-Canada Highway, in Newell County. The village was named for Duchess Louise Marguerite. It is mainly a ranching community.

In 2006, Duchess had a population of 978 living in 351 dwellings, a 17.0% increase from 2001.
