Employment
The job market in South East Alberta is hot! There
are lots of great career opportunities in many different industries
from trades to healthcare to manufacturing and many, many more. There
is demand for all levels of positions, too, from entry-level to senior
positions. Check them out!
Local businesses offer employment to a number of people in our community.
Rosemary School also provides job opportunities for a number of professional
as well as support staff. Rosemary is in the heart of the Eastern
Irrigation District that provides water to irrigate thousands of
acres of farmland. The result is a semi arid area that blossoms like
a rose resulting in employment opportunities on a number of farms
and other agro-businesses. Although the opportunity for employment
within the Village of Rosemary is somewhat limited there is a huge
demand for both skilled and casual labour throughout the region.
The oil patch employees many hundreds of people and Lake-Side
Packers,
located near the City of Brooks, is one of the largest beef processing
plants in Canada with many hundreds of employees as well. Numerous
other businesses in the area offer job opportunities for many more
people. Currently there is a big shortage in the labour force of
our area.
